Finally losing again
I am 8 years post op from my RNY. I am trying to lose the rest of the 90 pounds that I put on from steroids and to be honest some poor eating choices. I have about 30 more pounds to lose.
I had been stalled since January. I went to my pain management doctor today and I am down 9 pounds! YEAH!!!!! I've worked hard for all nine pounds. I recently started a couch to 5k program to get me running for the first time in a long time. My pain management doctor was proud of me. Why didn't I just listen to him a long time ago? He keeps telling me that if I can tighten and tone my body it will lessen my daily abdominal pain. So far no luck with less pain, but I'll take the weight loss!

Congratulations on the 9 pound weight loss! I know to some it doesn't sound like much but to me it sounds wonderful! I have started to put on weight and hate it. I too have pain issues with degenerative joint disease and have trouble exercising. I do not live close to a YMCA where I can do water areobics so do not exercise because of the pain. I wish you the best of luck!
