2 new recipies and some thoughts on emotional eating...
It's been a while since I posted, but I need this one. Emotional eating is a huge struggle for me as I am sure it is for some of you. After you read this, share your thoughts, experiences, lessons, etc with me.
I also posted my recipes for baked cheese sticks and crunchy ranch chicken...

Emotional eating has been the hardest thing to overcome, and I struggle to not fall back into those patterns when I am going through trying periods in my life. I'm not sure I will ever truly be free from it, but the surgery helps tremendously - just knowing that I will not even be able to gorge myself to the point where it would provide me any comfort is usually enough to keep me from even starting. But I have had to deal with a lot of misplaced anger issues since the surgery since apparently eating was such a huge crutch in my life. Now that I can't do it anymore it has been difficult to learn coping skills that do not involve pizza or cupcakes. :)
Yoga helps me tremendously, and deep breathing exercises really do allieviate some of that anxiety or urge to binge - seriously! I started doing yoga about 6 months after my surgery and it has made a profound impact on my life. I would like to become a yoga teacher one day!
