Recipes for Protein Shakes
This, I'd recommend to anyone who likes the flavor of coffee...
In a huge bowl, I mix:
2 lb Body Fortess Super Advanced Whey protein (52 g protein per serving,
chocolate)
One 13.8 oz can Swiss Miss No Sugar Added hot cocoa mix (I've used the Nestle
Quick sugar-free mix also)
12 oz decaf instant coffee
2 lb powder milk
40-50 packets of Sweet & Low (You may decide to add more later..this is just
kinda to start. I use it instead of Splenda because S&L takes less than splenda
would)
Mix all together and put in a container...I use a 4 lb protein bottle.
To prepare a batch:
Pour 1 quart of skim milk in a 1 gallon pitcher. Add 1 scoop at a time of the dry mixture above and mix well with a whisk. Add 6 heaping scoops total. I use the scoop that comes in the protein. Add 1/2 bottle of DaVinci (25.4 oz) sugar-free French Vanilla syrup or one of the small bottles of sf vanilla from Walmart. Add 1 more quart of skim milk and fill the rest of the way with water. Adjust according to taste. Sometimes, I add more instant coffee or more sweet & low. The Davinci comes in other flavors that are sugar-free too. You can get little bottles at Walmart but I'd recommend going to Amazon.com and ordering the large bottle....which is also a WAY cheaper way to go. Davinci also has flavors that is good on crushed ice for slushies. Wonderful way to get the water intake in.
Now..when it's mixed up, I put crushed ice in my bullet and cover it to
the top with the mix. Then I let it do it's thing and it ends up a very yummy
latte slushie. I haven't figured out the protein amount per serving but with the
protein, powder milk, and skim milk, I'd guess it to be ~40-45 grams. I usually
drink a couple of them a day.

My favorite protein shake is a clone of Starbucks Chocolate-Banana Vivanno.
1 scoop Chocolate protein powder
1 scoop Click (espresso flavored protein powder)
8 oz fat free milk (I use Lactaid due to lactose intolerance)
1 tsp SF vanilla syrup (DaVinci)
1/2 banana
handful of ice
Whiz up in a blender. Delicious tasting mocha shake. It's about the only protein shake I can handle drinking.
