I think because a larger majority of us have had our surgeries 3+ years out, we've kinda have come to the point in our lives where we are living instead of being standbyers like we kinda were prior in being obese. I, personally, have so much going on that I rarely remember to check in at the board because most of the members that I've gotten close to & those that I stay in contact with to keep my support momentum going, I do so by friending them on Facebook because of my limited time. In a way it really not far for all your newbies, pre wls'ers, or anyone else because everyone needs as much support & info as they can get. All I can advise is if you feel like you can/or have made a connection w/someone on here for support or even friendship - don't limit to just Facebook. Many of the people on here are open about their wls on their Facebook so just ask if you can friend them on there.
Blessings & Love to All
