I'm having a hard time finding a doctor to write an approval for my insurance to cover my surgery. My GP is very anti-weight loss surgery and I know that even though I have tried unsuccessfully for 3 years to lose weight that he will not write this letter. Anyone in Indiana know of a doctor who would? I have a BMI of 40+ and I'm only 24. I need help so I can LIVE MY LIFE!!

Then you will see Dr. Gomez, the doctor that the first post told you about.  You may need a referral from your family doctor depending on  your insurance carrier.  If he won't give  you a referral, see another doctor just to get the referral.
