Graduation Day!

Today is Graduation and I can't hardly wait. I have worked so hard to graduate from college. When I started in college I was so overweight I had to take fitness online and could not even do the activities required for class. This morning I worked out! What a difference 11 months makes! I am going to walk across that stage and give my speech feeling like a whole different person than when I started all of this journey. I bought a pair of heels that make me feel so tall and thin...something I could not have worn a year ago! I am thankful to God for making all of this possible. On to SMWC in the fall!

My degree is in Human Services (social work) and SMWC is St Mary of The Woods College. My minor is psychology. Thank you all!

Kristie, how did commencement go?? Did you give a speech?

Commencement was awesome! I did speak at it. You can go view the pics under Mechell's link on my facebook. I have not posted the video from my speech yet. It was short and sweet I can assure you!  I look foward to being at SMWC!

Just wanted to tell you I have been grading research papers for a prof at Ivy Tech all day today..they are AWFUL. We would not have been let off the hook for submitting papers as bad as these...no citations, no complete sentences, no proper formatting! Wow.

I swear, you are going to love saint mary's.  It is soooo beautiful. Thats probably why I got married there! lol 

I hope you graded with the same "critical eye" that we were lucky enough to have... : ) No mercy, hehehe.  Seriously though, people need to learn early on in their academic career the proper formatting of papers if they plan on graduating.. Lots of instructors, like Alsman or pretty unmerciful when it comes to even the slightest deviation from APA..
 
By the way, I hope you like writing because SMWC requires alot of it! I know you will do fine, Im excited for ya!
