Finally After 6 yrs

Well I am finally on the road to WLS after 6 yrs of whatever. I have my first appt with Dr. Inman next month at Clarion.  I am excited and scared.  I have medicaid so my requirements maybe the only thing that holds me back.  But I vow if I get denied  I will personally go to the Medicaid office and appeal. 

I was set to do this 6 yrs ago at St Francis.  But they said they were not doing any more that year.  I am thinking my doctor then lied to me.  So now I have to do this mess all over again.   Anyways done venting.  Thanks

Congrats on starting on your journey! I also go through Clarian but i see Dr. Mattar. The program is very good and supportive. I'm sure you will have no problems on the Liver reduction Diet, the NUT's are very helpful with all of that! I have been approved and have my pre-op testing on the 21st of this month. I know what you mean. At some point you just get tired of watching your own life get waisted away. Especially when your loved ones are also watching. Too sad to let it go on forever. It was time to be brave and take a different path.
