I am really on the verge of a melt down.. my husbands employer owns their own policy thru Aetna and they have a preset limit on bariatrics of 10,000. That 10k is nothing! I have yet to find out if that is solely for the surgery but even if it is thats a limit thats so low that theres no way I can move forward! I have been jumping through all these hoops and followed every detail down to the letter and now this? I am sorry... I am just very discouraged right now and dont know what to think or do.

Don't give up!  Insurance is big on making people jump through hoops!

My husband's insurance also only covered $10k for bariatrics. That included my hospital stay, medications while in the hospital, surgeon's fees, anesthesia, and bloodwork that was done pre-op.  I have everything else set up on payment plans. (almost $13,000) See if your surgeon's office/hosptial will work with you on payment arrangements so you don't have to take out a loan. (that way you can avoid interest)

Well today I got a call from Jaime at Dr. Shinas office and the still dont have enough information to be able to submit. So I have to go back again and try to collect medical information and the last time it took them 3 weeks to get that to me.

On the other hand I am being told now that the 10k limit is surgical only so that could be a good thing if its true.. keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

Not sure on the setting up payments thing... does credit play a part in that? Also wouldnt it still require you to have it all paid for in advance anyway? I am just frustrated and everytime I feel like I am getting close I get shoved back 2 steps.
