Question...

Okay, I have a question...

I'm having this pain, it just started today, just below my sternum. It started earlier after I had eaten some noodles. It hurt so bad I came thisclose to going to the er...it has since subsided a lot. Now it's just like a nagging pain there, and I'm afraid to eat anything because that was when it hurt so bad. Anyone had anything like this go on or have any ideas what it could be? I'm almost 2 1/2 years post op, and can eat quite a bit now so I wouldn't think I have anything stuck. Also, nothing is protruding or anything so I didn't think it'd be a hurnia...thoughts??

Thanks a lot!!
Whitney

So, I just ate some cottage cheese and tomato chunks, and it hurts worse. So, it's more painful after I eat something...help! What is going on?

Whitney,

Call your surgeon's office. They'll probably want to get you in for a scope. There are several things it could be...ulcer, perforation, internal hernia, staple worked loose, stricture (yes, even at 2 1/2 years post op). I would bet on the ulcer though....

Good luck,
Sherri

I'm thinking gallbladder..that's if you still have your gallbladder.  Could be any one of several different things.  Call your doctor.  Good luck.

Could be a constrictor/constriction. Could be a lot of things.... so call your surgeon on whether you should come into his office for him to check it out or head to the E.R. When in doubt always consult your surgeon. That's what his office and him are there for no matter how far post op you are.

I had a thing that affected the Peterson space.. over on my left side .. thought I was having a heart attack it hurt so bad.. they did a lap and straightened out my intestines..They got in a kink... it wasnt a hernia on me, or thanking God an ulcer.. I was also about 2 1/2 years out and didnt matter what I ate.. it hurt..

CALL  YOUR DOC!!

I agree with Duane.  My stomach started hurting like this after eating and even after drinking water.  I have been told I have crystals(??) in my gall bladder after having an ultrsound and then an MRI.  Now I have been told I need another screening..WHY??? Yank it out!
