 Hey all~

Just a quick note.  Surgery went on 1pm as scheduled.   Surgery last about an hour.  Lots of gallstones but it is out.  Was in recovery for a while and was released at left St. V's about 4:30pm.

Feeling really tired and a little bit of pain but the meds are working fine.   I feel a little loopy.

Have a great evening!!  ~Alisica~

Kristie,

Doing well today, just sleepy (I'm sure from the meds).  Planned on going back to work on Thursday but I have to see a specialist at IU Med Center about another issue.  Once that is resolved,  I told my husband that I'd be the Bionic Woman and ready to go!!

Anything is better than those 2 attacks that I had.  They were horrible and I do not wish that on anyone.  I understand that everyones has different symptoms and the pain experienced is all relative.  Mine personally felt like a heart attack.  Pain at the breastbone, shortness of breath. Sweats, vomiting and diarrhea.  MY attacks lasted about 30-45 mins.  Those 2 were enough for me to NEVER want that again!!

I have been able to eat anything so far and no problems.  I asked Dr. Inman is there was anything that I needed to stay away from.  She basically said stay away from fatty foods (which we all should be staying away from anyways).  She stated that the most common thing to happen after surgery was when you eat foods that are more fatty they are prone to go through you and cause diarrhea.

Best  of luck to you!  You will do fine.  I plan on going back to work on Friday.  ~Alisica~

Glad to hear you are doing well!!!  You have an awesome nurse to take care of you!

I am still amazed at how quickly they do things and send us home!  I am only supposed to be in overnight Monday when they do my panni removal.... that's almost a scary thought.  I will be slit most the way around my body! Wow....

Anyway,  I am proud of you for being so tough!!!  Hang in there!

Huge hugz,
Tracy

Good Morning Alisica,  Hope you are feeling all better today.  I was surprised to see you at the meeting weds!  You are one dedicated gal.   How long did you have to take off work?  I had some serious pain yesterday morning and then again in the afternoon.  I am going to the DR anyway today for sinus and chest congestion and wondered if my gall bladder is acting up.  The pain did not last too long, but my AM pain doubled me over.  I had eaten 1 slice of bacon since my granddaughter said she made it just for me.  Tasted great, felt like CRAP!

I am only one, But still, I am one.  I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.  And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do
the something that I can do.
