So as I get further out from surgery, I find that some of my food issues have not really been addressed. I would like to start speaking with a professional, but would like someone that is familiar with eating disorders/food issues.  Any suggestions? I know i'll have to see if my insurance approves this person, but I would atleast like a starting point. Thanks!

Your surgeon's office should have one that they work with. My surgeon is in Columbus, and they have one. Dr. Evans. He's very good with food/body issues.

I dont know how close you are to St Francis but they have a great program that is open for anyone.  It is a six week class on emotional eating, its a wonderful class.  The leader is not only a therapist but she has had wls, so she "gets it".  After the six weeks is up you will be invited to come every other Monday night for a group that consists of people who have been through the emotional eating class.  The cost is a real bargain at $50.  You can call the center and ask for Holly.  Like I said you don't have to be a St F's patient or even post op to take the class.
