Silly Question...

I recently had surgery on Feb 5th and I am doing good, actually TO good.  The only real problem I have had is pain from the incision (I had an open Roux-en-Y on Feb 5th) I don't feel any "different".
I haven't had any stomach issues, bowel issues,etc...  Is this "normal"?

I keep joking that my surgeon cut me open and forgot to rework the "plumbing"...

Should I be thankful or is this the calm before the storm?

Consider that you are one of the lucky ones!!!  Don't borrow trouble.  Just be glad!

Seriously, alot of times when we have this surgery it takes our pouch months before it gets to truly feeling things.  You may not feel full.  You may not feel pain in your pouch. Just be careful and stick to your guidelines.

I am happy for you being one of the lucky ones that do well right away.  I was like that too. I wondered if they forgot to "re-route" me too!  Many of the others aren't as lucky.

Keep up the great attitude and you will do just fine!

Huge hugz,
Tracy
