Good morning Indiana!
Good morning everyone. Stay warm!
We're going to be heading back over to my MIL's apartment today to work some more. We've hauled so much trash out of there it's not even funny.
Neither of us have had much sleep, and I know I'm not eating right. This will be over soon. There's an end in sight as we have to have the apartment vacated by the end of the month.
I suggested that we be methodical about it - start at the back (her bedroom) and work our way to the front. We've spent two days in the clutter that is her bedroom, and we're only about half done with it. 3 dressers crammed full with old bills, letters, pictures, purses, junk mail. two closets stuffed to the brim with clothes and shoes.
Goodwill is going to love us.
Have a great day all!

Good evening, I just got home from Tyler's basketball game. I am tired and glad the day is over. I slept horrible last night. So I am looking forward to getting to bed early.
I hope you all had a wonderful day. I got my letter of approval from insurance today for my plastics and then I got the surgery center packet and the doctor's orders for bloodwork. I can't believe its happening! It still seems surreal.
Huge hugz,
Tracy

Chris,
I remember so well when we cleaned out Bill's mom's apartment. His sister lives in town but didn't come over to help at all so it was mainly me and Bill with some help from my kids, I brought pretty much all of Jean's clothes to the clothing exchange. Whatever the OH group didn't want, I'm sure Robin's church was able to give them to others who appreciated them. I even brought wigs that Jean had! I figured that if someone was going through chemo that they'd appreciate them. Any books or magazines, drop them off at a local nursing home or senior's center. Their activity coordinator would probably be glad to accept any old music or movies as well. Remember to get a receipt for anything that you donate to any orgnizations so that you can use them as deductions for your taxes.
I know. So much to try to accomplish. You'll get through it hon. Somehow, it actually helpd me to get through the grieving process. As I said good-bye to Jean's items, I was able to come into terms with no longer having Jean there.
Love you sweetie...
Sherri

There's so much to do, and we both have to go back to work on Monday.
Truthfully, most of her clothing would not be fit to go to the clothing exchange, even if I had the room to store it till we have the next one in April. A lot of it is really old and yellowed.
Books we will likely take to Half Price books to sell to add money to the kitty to pay for her monument and grave opening costs. We will also be putting some big items on Craig's List, such as a washer and dryer, electric wheelchair, two manual wheelchairs and two walkers. The electric wheelchair was used only once and looks like new - it was only used around the apartment to try it out. His dad didn't like it - said it went too fast. LOL
I hope it will help us both to get through this. Wally's having some bad moments coming to grips with not only his mom being gone, but having both parents gone within 6 months of each other. It's understandable, but it's so hard seeing him suffer like this.
I kind of dread tomorrow, as his sisters all fly in tomorrow afternoon. Once they all get together, I'm sure it will be grief central. We're not sleeping much, and we're not eating well - we're so tired, we're eating out a lot, and I know that's not good for either of us.
We'll get through this, but it's a tough road ahead.
Thanks for all the good wishes. Love you all.
