Dr Ditslear

My GI gave me a referral to Dr Ditslear about the blind loop syndrome.  I have to go all the way to Fishers to see him.   My appt is not until March 19th.  They said I had a large section of my bowel that is lazy and for different periods of time will just let food sit there and bacteria grows.  I don't want more surgery!!!!

I was wondering what he is like.  I had heard his name before.  I had a list of doctors that I could have been referred to, but my GI Dr David Thomas wants me to see him. All I have to do before seeing him is another scope.  Lets see, that would make it #28 or so.  I tried to explain to the staff that I would rather have it without sedation since I am such a hard stick.  Looks like it's time to put the port back in.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks,

I have Dr Distlear, I've only seen him 2 times and he's been very attentive and very personable.. He didn't do my actual surgery cause I didn't live here at the time...
Good Luck Sandi

I loved Dr. Dislear.  He was going to do my surgery, but had a skiing accident in January so I switched to one of his partners.  From what I understand he is out until the end of February so that may be why you are having to wait to get into him.  He is very nice and caring.  If I didn't want to have surgery sooner I would have waited for him, but seven months is long enough in my book.

Hope this helps!
