Medicaid requirements???

I was trying to get the RNY done back in 2005 when Medicaid only required an 8 month medically supervised diet. Then with one week of that time left, Medicaid changed it to 18 months. Well I accepted a fulltime job that would have started after my recovery from the surgery and then the month change messed it all up. I lost my Medicaid. Then 2 years later, I ended up leaving that job after an injury at work. So here I'm back on Medicaid again and thought I heard that the month requirement changed again. Can anyone tell me? Thanks so much! I truly appreciate it! I'm still hoping to get the surgery done so I can reclaim my life!

Best wishes to you!
I am going to call the clinic I was going to back in 2005 when I was planning on getting the surgery to see if they can find out if since I'd already done the 8 months of medically supervised dieting if they can get me approved without further dieting or if I have to go though it all again which I don't mind doing if so.

Please let us know about that issue of having to do everything all over again.  4 yrs ago I went through the whole process and qualified.  Then received a letter from the doctor that they were not doing anymore surgeries that year.  I took it personally.  Now I am trying to do this all over again.  I have a surgeon picked out, just have to contact him.  .
