Hi friends.... a new day, a new month. Hope you all are doing well. A year ago, I really thought life was getting better. That all ended on 2-21-09, when our car slid off the road. My then 11yo son Mikey sustained a broken neck and head injury, and my 5yo princess Maggie was declard brain dead later that night.

You can't control what life brings to you. You can only control how you react to it. I can choose to have a pity party for myself this month, or else forge ahead that best I can. I choose to keep moving forward.

Mikey is in residential treatment at this time at Meadows. He's really making progress. He wanted pictures to make a memory book of his sister. We just don't have alot left after flood '08. We took him to Sears yesterday and they pulled up our digital sessions going back for years. We let him pick out pictures to make his book.

We are sponsoring a convocation at Maggie's former elementary school in her memory. The principal wrote me last week that they might have found a presentation - with animals. How appropriate, Maggie was an animal lover like the rest of us in the family.

I just want to say for those of you who are at different points in your journey, if you're not feeling as positive as you might, make a choice in how to see today, and go with that.
