I could not be happier. If I were to put $1 in a jar every time I look in amazement in the mirror...I could have paid for the procedure 2 or 3 times by now.
Also, if you have lost 100+ pounds the IRS will view this as reconstructive surgery and it becomes deductible as a medical expense. Talk to your accountant for details.

wow that isnt too bad,, i am debating on the lift with the augmentation because i really dont want the scar that goes down from the nipple to the underside of the breast. i dont think any insurance would cover it so it would be a self pay,, did you do both surgeries at the same time?
i had originally lost 105 but have gained 20 lbs since five years ago which i am working on losing again now. so i dont know if i can write it off,, would be nice though
Dr. B did both surgeries during one 7 hour session.
My tummy scar is placed so that a bikini covers it. Although now, 2 years later, it is nearly invisible as well.

I too am a true fan of Dr. Debra Bergman. She's fantastic. Her staff is compassionate as well. They will work to get your insurance to cover as much as possible (usually the pannicular portion). With your tummy tuck, it all depends on your insurance (how much they cover) and what all you want/need done on what it will cost you. The augementation..if you have a breast lift and implants, it'd be ~$6,000. Really, the best thing you could do is have a consultation with her. They'll give you an estimation before you leave.
Now, the really important part. The aftercare is wonderful. I have had a multitude of problems over the past 2 1/2 years and Dr. Bergman and her staff have been angels. They aren't out for the money. They really are out to give you the best care possible.

Carmel Surgical Specialists at St. Vincent's recommended her. They also recommended another doc for self pay patients. You could call them and I am sure they could give you his name.
Good Luck!

He did my TT, my breast augmentation, and my brachioplasty. They do try to get things covered by your insurance but as always, it depends largely on your cir****tances and your insurance company. Usually its only the TT that qualifies if any. I would suggest you schedule a consult and talk to him. More than 1 consult when it comes to PS is not overkill because its your body.
My TT was covered by insurance but nothing else was. The cost of all my procedures, that I paid for, including all follow up care which was outstanding and I was never charged anything out of pocket, was about $13,000. If I would have paid for the TT, it was about $5400.
Their staff is very compassionate and thorough. My calls have always been answered and returned promptly. They are also recommended by St. Vincents Bariatric Center and usually once a year they come to support groups and give presentations about their services.
I wouldn't be concerned about the incision lines around the nipples and going down the center of the breast. Mine was done in 2002 and is practically invisible now. You have to squint your eyes to see them! When people see the incision lines on my inner arms, they are amazed how pencil thin they are. Dr. Jones does excellent work and I am a testiment to that.
Here is something that really sold me on their surgical group. If you would be having cosmetic surgery work done that requires 10 hours of operating time whi*****ludes anesthesia & booking operating room, etc. & you "choose" to not be operated on for 10 hours and be under anesthesia for 10 hours, you can opt to have 2 surgeons in the group to do your procedures. Thus it would only take about 5 hours of surgery time.
NO!!! They do not charge you for the extra surgeon!!! Plus you are saving a bundle of money on operating room time, anesthesia, etc. This tells me that they are not in this just for the money. They truly care for their patients and what is best for them. Go for a consult and ask them yourself. Tell Dr. Jones that Kathy Evans sent you.
Good luck on your decision.
