Has anyone heard of a drink called Vemma?  My neighbor gave me some info and their website is www.vemma.com.  I was just wondering if anyone has tried it or know anything about it and bariatric patients.

Thanks,

Steph,

I was reading the nutritional info from their website, I wouldn't think it's suppose to be used as a meal replacement, there's no protein at all listed on there. And if you add up what drinking a ONE whole bottle you'd have a total of 128g of sugar and 560 calories - that's just friggin outrageous for a simple 2 oz drink! Yeah it's got a lot of the beneficial vitamins that we wls patients need, but ..... that calorie count and sugar count just, personally, scares the crap outta me. I wouldn't drink it.

Thanks Jodi.  I guess I didn't read enough info.  You're right, I'll pass!  Any other suggestions on cheap protein drinks?

Thanks,
Steph

I know it has been a few years since the original post, but VEMMA is not a meal replacement.  It is a liquid vitamin.  They also have a line of energy drinks as well as BOD-e, a weight loss line, that has meal replacement shakes.

I posted this elsewhere but Dr. Cacucci had me on Glytrol shakes for meal replacement or just the low carb booth..
