Update- 1 month post op!

Hi all, i haven't been around much, but.... i had RNY on 12/16 with Dr. Throop at St Mary's in Evansville.  I had a pretty quick recovery with no real complications.  I do miss "real" food (eggs, and tuna from a can doesn't count!), but i move up to softs on wednesday.  I had my 1 month follow up today and i'm down 31.9 lbs (although it's a few days short of a month!!!) and i'm really, really happy my weight loss so far.  I've already given away most of the clothes i was wearing before surgery... and my energy level is fairly high.  I'm not looking forward to it, but i go back to work next tuesday!  Thanks for the support that you offered before surgery, i'm really glad to be on this side looking back!

I  hope everyone is doing well!  Anyone in the Evansville area need a walking buddy - let me know!!!!

Wow!  That's great!  Glad to hear you are doing so well and glad to meet you too.  That makes 4 of us here in the Evansville area on here (although I'm sure there are others I just haven't run into yet.  Linda Chapman had her surgery a month ago with Dr. Throop and I have mine with him on 1/25.  Let's keep in touch.

Congratulations Becky!  Sounds like you're doing great.  Good to see some Southern Indiana people on here too!

Congrats on the GREAT first month!!  I'll be at the Tuesday night support group meeting at the Bariatric Center.  Hope to see you there!!
