Daughter's surgery went well

Daughter's surgery went well.  She was in surgery for 2 1/2 hours.  There were a few complications, but doc was able to perform the hysterectomy and leave her ovaries. 

She's having an allergic reaction to the anesthesia, and is experiencing severe itching and double vision.  She's been given some drugs to counteract this.  Doc is hopeful she can come home tomorrow.

I came home to get a catnap since I've been at the hospital since 5:45.  I'll be going back later this afternoon.

I'm glad everything went well surgical-wise. Hopefully all of the complications will clear up soon. I'm amazed that she's going to be able to go home so quickly. Good for her! Now Mom..now that your baby girl is resting comfortably, you get some rest too.

Thanks folks!  Stayed awake and went back up at 6.  She was doing MUCH better.  Vision back to normal, and itching subsided after another dose of Nubain.  She's got a few welts on her face, but possibly due to the scratching she did before meds took effect.

When we left, she was sipping some Sprite and getting to have a meal of lovely lime Jello.

Came home and promptly crashed.  Just woke up a little while ago.  Will be going back to the hospital in the morning to wait on her doc to discharge her.
