I'm new as well and am having RNY Thursday.  But I'm definately interested.  I'm in the Fishers area.

I have yet to have to surgery, but would love to meet up with you ladies. I am in the south east side. I would love to know what I am in for!

You know I'm game!  And I love this website too.  I have learned so much from everyone.  Name a time and place and I'll B there!

As I've posted several times, plan it, post it, and they will come. That holds true to ANY area of Indiana, not just Indianapolis!

Typically through the year we do get together several times:

January, April, July, October: Quarterly clothing exchange & pitch-in. This will probably be cancelled this month since Robin (the usual hostess) just got out of the hospital after a stay in the ICU from some serious medical issues.

May/June: Holiday World get-together

August: OH Camp-out

December: OH Ornament exchange & pitch-in.

Up until I had some serious medical issues of my own, Bill & I also hosted a hot tub party annually in Feb/March. I'm hoping to be able to resume this soon.

We've had several get togethers at various restaurants in large or small groups...pretty much, who-ever can show up is more than welcome. It would be a pleasure to have someone else to help plan some more events..but please, do come to some of these other ones also.

I'd love to get together with everybody.  I'm gonna plan something in Kokomo since there are several of us up here this-a-way too.....Marion, Lafayette, Noblesville.  Then I'm hoping we can carpool to Indy or wherever you guys are meeting at another time/location. 

Noblesville has a really cool IMAX theatre and bunches of other movies there too.  That would be fun.  Before or after we could go chit-chat somewhere.  Its sorta half way between Kokomo and Indy. 

 Noblesville and Carmel also have awesome outdoor malls!

When it gets warmer... there is also the monon to walk or run!!  

I would love to help organize something.... However.... I am on call 24/7 for work so that can be a bit of a hinderance sometime!

WOW Thanks for all your responses!!!  I love this site more and more.  Since we live all over the place lets try to make this first time as central as possible.  It's gonna be hard but I think it will definitely be rewarding.  Lets get together on Saturday January 16, around 3 pm.  That way it will give ample time for people that have to do some driving.  I was thinking about doing something up in the Noblesville area.  Either a coffee shop or there is a bowling alley called Pin Heads there.  How does that sound?  Let me know and I will announce where it will be but the date will stay the same.  I am super excited!!
