Anxiety

Ok, so I survived my first set of holidays!  It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.   I"m officially six and a half weeks post op and finally feel more like myself again.  BUT!!!!  Tomorrow I return to work.  I'm so incredibly anxious and I can't even pin point why.  I've stopped in a few times and said hello to everyone, so it's not seeing everyone for the first time.  I think I'm worried that it will be too easy to forget to eat (never thought I'd ever be worried about forgetting to eat).  Did anyone else expierience this?  I've had nightmares about work for the last three nights and I know that I'm probably getting myself way too worked up.  Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
Have a blessed day,
Heather B.

First, hi neighbor!  Shanna and I both live in Camby - Heartland Crossing, actually.

Relax.  Been there, done that.  It'll be ok.  Pack yourself a bag tonight with all your meals that you will need while at work, and water bottles, and crystal light single serve tubes.  Use a pretty lunch bag, and you're all set!

You're anxious because you are about to begin a "new" routine - staying on plan while at work, and getting in your vitamins, protein, and water.  It'll be ok - after a couple of days, it'll be old hat!  Good luck!

Thank you so much for the encouragement and idea about packing up last night.  It hasn't been as bad as I thought today although it was a pretty emotional morning this am and I think my husband thinks I've lost my marbles.
Have a blessed day,
Heather B.

i dont work outside the home anymore, but i can relate to being anxious and worried about missing meals, vitamins and calcium....
i went to my local dollar store and got myself a little digital timer that i still use (even being almost 4 months out) and set it for mealtime, vitamin and calcium time....if im out, i use a safety pin and pin it to the inside of my pocket so i am always reminded of when i need to do things...
now...
if i could just remember what im spose to do when it goes off!!!1

I used my Blackberry to set alarms all day... I also sat my vitamins next to my computer.... I kept a little sheet of paper- just like I do at home- to log everything....
I found I did much better at work than I have done at home....

Thank you to everyone who gave me some support this week.  I lived through my first week of work.  I never realized that I could feel so exhausted.  I'm so thankful the weekend is here.  After I take my son to his soccer game tonight, my family is going to find it very difficult to pry me off of the couch.  Thank you again and I am so happy that I found this web site.
Have a blessed day,
