Sherri how are you?
Jana,
I'm doing a little better I think. I've been spending most of my time in my recliner. I was hoping that I'd be better by now. It's starting to make me nervous with Christmas so close. I really didn't want Tiffany to have to come and pick us up but I'm still not able to drive. That can get frustrating. As long as I'm taking the percocet though... and the pain won't let me not take it...I can't drive.
It hurts to get up & walk. It hurts to sneeze, cough, yawn, and at times, breathe. That is all from the mesh being sewn into the muscle. The nerve endings that were cut are trying to heal also and that causes a burning sensation. It seems like one area no sooner quits and another area starts. For about 4 days now, it's been kinda stuck on the lower right area. The incision line is pretty much healed except for at the belly button. It's not a hole like it had been in the past, it just isn't healing up very well yet.
On the positive side, there is no sign of a hernia. I think this may have worked. Also, some of the other symptoms I've had for +2 yrs are finally getting back to my normal such as the diarhea is pretty much gone. I'm still having some intestinal spasms but they aren't very often at all in comparison to how they were. My taste buds are improving from what they had been since this surgery. I'm trying to think positively and starting to look forward to trying on the jeans that I've been holding on to since this all began.
It's hard for me to concentrate very much at a time so I've been occupying myself with the Facebook apps.
Thank you for asking about me Jana. It's easy when someone doesn't feel well for them to start having a pity party. Having friends that care really help keep those feelings at bay.
