OMG! OMG!!
My day did NOT begin well.
First, I overslept..... By 2 hours. Then, I did not realize it had snowed till I raised the garage door. Ok. Not much snow. I can do this. However, once I get out there, I realize it has been packed down into a sheet of ice!! I'm at the stop sign by the Post Office - 2nd car back. All of a sudden, POW! A pick up slams into the car in front of me!
Now that really rattled my chain. At least it wasn't me that got hit. I proceed on to work. It takes me 1 1/2 hours to get to work due to road conditions. It's usually a 35 minute drive.
Ok - I am at work. Whew... I made it. I get out of the car. Too late, I realized I left my purse, cell phone, breakfast, lunch, and KEYS in the car!!!
So, I go in and call hubby - who had taken the day off for some R&R. I asked him to call AAA to come unlock my car. He kindly offered to drive on down and take care of it for me, seeing as how AAA was probably already pretty busy. Ok - that was very nice, even though he carried all my stuff inside when he got there, and giggled with my coworkers about me locking the keys in the car.
Ok - I try to relax and get into my day. But nooooo - our computer system crashes. Payroll needed to go in today by noon. So, another little crisis for the day. We did manage to get everyone's payroll information in finally.
Fast forward to the afternoon. I decide to go out to my car, firmly holding my keys this time, to listen to my audiobook and try to relax. I start up the car to warm up and put on my heated seats. I hit play on the 6-disc CD changer. I begin listening to my favorite audiobook. I begin to relax, when all of a sudden, the CD stops playing. I look up at the CD player, and it starts spitting the discs out at me!! WTH??? My CD player now does not work. I had cancelled my Sirius satellite radio subscription because I always listened to audiobooks!! ARRGGHH!!!
So, I come home - in a foul mood because I didn't have my audiobook to listen to. Decide to go out to find something to wear to the St. V's party tomorrow night. Found a real cute sweater set and slacks to wear. I went to try them on, and started screaming in the fitting room!
The salesgirls came running - I came out in the new outfit, squealing, I'M A SIZE 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG - It must be at least 20-25 years since I've fit in size 12 slacks!!! OMG!!! A size medium turtleneck and size 12 slacks!!! OMG!!!
And this is how my day went!!!!
ETA: My 1 year surgiversary is Wednesday. One year ago, I was wearing size 24 jeans and pants, and 3x - 4x tops. Now I am a size 12!!
