St V's Holiday Party! Who's going?

Hi All

I was wondering who will be going to the Holiday Party? I have not made one of the party's and am not quite sure what to expect? Do they serve dinner or snaks?  Do I need to eat before I come? Do they serve drinks? How Does everyone dress? Lots of questions LOL

I had my DS at St V's with Dr Inman on April 9th 08 and I still have yet to get an invitation to the Party a friend of mine got her Invite and wants me to drive her there .. So Invite or not I am going!! LOL

I sure hope to get to meet some of you there.. I don't visit the Indiana Board much so I don't really know alot of you but I can't wait to meet as many as I can...

they serve low fat, lower carb snacks. being a DSer, i would eat something before you go as the only thing they serve with any protein is low-fat cheese. they will have unsweetened tea, crystal light and water to drink. you can dress as casually or as dressy as you want- anything from jeans to dress clothes. the invites come from the st v bariatric center so if you are not getting your invites, i would call them and make sure they have the correct address for you. you do not need an invite to get in. would love to get to meet you there but unfortunately i dont have a vehicle right now so i cant go. hope you have lots of fun!!

Thanks for the warning I think I will have to stop for dinner before heading to the Party then... Aww I sure wish you could make it to the party too bad you won't be there.. I would offer to pick you up but I am afraid I already have a car load :(

I will be there!  This is my first year so I have no idea about what to expect, but I know it's gonna be fun! My friend has convinced me to wear a gown....I cant beleive I am actually going to do that!

I am looking forward seeing/meeting everyone there...

Oh and I think your friend has a great Idea to wear Gowns I will make sure and look for the most beautifuly dressed Lady there and that should be You :)  I hope to get to meet you there..

I'll be there but have no idea what to expect except for what I've been told on here since this is my first year going. Look forward to seeing you there. I'm originally from Columbia City, so very familiar with Warsaw! :)

Aww Columbia City I know it well... I grew up in Pierceton so I used to go to Columbia City all the time!  I hope to get to meet you there too..

They serve iced tea, hot tea, coffee, water (bottled), and Crystal Light.  They also go around and hand out Crystal Light sticks for bottled water (at least they have in prior years!).

They usually have fruits (watermelon, pineapple, strawberries), cheese cubes (several different types), some veggies, and several different kinds of crackers.  It's all you can eat but it really isn't a meal.

I've always dressed up when I've went.  This year I will not be attending.  I'll have surgery on my back Monday and will be at Hotel St Vincent on 86th Street Ortho side.
