Saturday
Good morning all my fellow Hoosiers!
We ended up having a fairly active day yesterday. Bill passed his 2nd IT certification. Yaye! I think he has 5 more to go. It'll be a month or so before he's ready for the next one I think. After my surgery, I'm going to start on the materials to learn the stuff for the first one. I figured that IT certification would look good for my performance management at work. No. I'm not in IT..but I fulfill that role for our department along with my duties in the lab. Which is cool...since I like the IT end of it better than anything else most of the time anymore.
Yesterday, Bill & I also got all trimmed up at Master Cuts at Washington Square. On black Friday, they will be having 20% off their products & $10 hair cuts..I think from 5-10 am. I asked the girl if she'd heard any rumors about any other sales for that day but she hadn't. There is a formal dress shop there in the mall that has a 'Everything must go' sale going on. I don't know if they are going out of business or what. The writing on their windows said that all the dresses were only $20. That is one hell of a deal! If you (or your daughter) has anything formal to go to coming up, you might want to check them out.
Today, we are picking up Chance (8 yr old grandson) and taking him out for lunch. It was suppose to be Myranda too. It was actually a shhhh...bribe...to try to get Myranda to behave at school. The teacher has been calling home just about every day because Myranda either doesn't listen or throws a temper tantrum. They've tried punishment so I thought I would try bribery. But...I included Chance in it too. The deal was that Chance had to improve this week on his handwriting (which, he's really been working hard at) and Myranda was to behave so that the teacher didn't have to call home at all. Mrs. Williams had to call twice. So...Chance gets to go and Myranda can't. It's about what I thought would happen. Which,...I'm hoping it really bothers her to see Chance be able to go and she can't all because she didn't behave. I want her to see that if you work at something (behaving, handwriting) that you'll be rewarded for that. And if you don't, those who did will get the reward. Myranda can be a very stubborn child so here's hoping today will affect her enough that she'll behave next week. Yes, they kids count it as a special deal when they get to go bye-bye with Mamaw & Papaw.
Tonight, Bill & I are going to India Gardens in Broadripple with my friend Denise. Some of you have met her. She's a blast to be around. She works up there at an apartment complex and recently was able to get one of the apartments herself so she moved here from Lafayette.
Thank you everyone for your website suggestions as I begin my online Christmas shopping.
