What do you love after your surgery?

So I have had a LOT of buyer's remorse... but when I saw I had lost 12 pounds in a week... that went away a little.  I am still having tummy problems... still have not started protein... went back on clear liquids... still gag the Carafate... barely get in my liquid... but there are things I love...
1- I love not having cravings!  The only thing that bothers me is pizza commercials.
2- I love the sounds my tummy and bowels make!  They are LOUD!
3- I love the new sense of hope and reading and seeing success.
4- Right now I really LOVE the divot I have where the tools went in!  Does or did anyone else have a divot?

Try to get some protein, as Linda Kay said. I didn't get enough and had major hair loss! (It grows back, though, don't worry.)

Each person will be enamored with different things. For me it was hope and things to look forward to. After surgery I tried things I had always wanted to do, but felt too fat. I took horseback riding lessons, and tap dance lessons.

At almost a year out (and a few minor complications along the way), I LOVE:

that my husband grabs my butt and says it feels like Charmin.
that my 9 year old tells me I'm beautiful now.
that I work out at the gym and no longer wonder who's staring at my flab bouncing.
that I weigh almost 100 pounds less than I did one year ago.
that I'm smaller than I've been my entire marriage.
that I'm carrying a baby we were told we'd never have!

I'm so blessed to have taken this roller coaster ride and in a year you will say the same thing!!

3.having energy in the day to play with my 4 Year old.
4.Not laying around the house all day on the couch becasue my body and back hurt so bad i couldn't walk.
5. working and not being dog tired after words.
6. Life in General.....I have never ever been this size ( size 14 in High School)

Thank you all for your responses.  I am not necc avoiding the protein... However, the nut and my surgeon's office said hold until my stomach is a little less sour.  I also should not have milk products until then.
I have been back on clear liquids and I am hoping I can start them tomorrow.  I just cannot believe the nausea and I have a patch... but just when I was starting to feel better... PMS came... This should be fun!!

Happy Friday everyone!

I had a lot of nausea in the beginning but it was because I was dehydrated.  Are you getting all of your liquids in??

Initially no... I was not getting much.... Now I am really close to 64 ounces per day.
I did go to the hospital for fluids.  That has helped.
Some- they think- is a reaction to antibiotics... I do have a med with nausea as a side effect and it happens to be my time of the month - which is also a likely cause.

I do have a question- what specifically are signs of dehydration?
This last time I just knew.

Thank-you.... At what point does one call the surgeon or go to the ER for fluids?
I have been ok with fluids the last few days.... but I just do not want to end up worse off!
