I talked to Amy at Dr. Inman's office and she told me my letter requesting surgery will be submitted to my insurance by the end of the week!  I also got a letter yesterday from St. V telling me I have some goals to complete to prepare for surgery.  One of them was I need to immediately begin attending support groups.  So the first one I am going to go to is the one on the south side next Monday at St. Roch...so I guess if any of you are attending, I will see you there!

Only 1 negative thing going on, the insurance is refusing to pay the bill for the consultation because it was "non-surgical treatment"?!  I been on the phone with them for like 2 weeks trying to get that straightened out.  Dr. Inman's office has been great helping me get that straightened out.  They had to send documentation showing it was a consultation for bariatric surgery, not treatment for obesity.  So ridiculous!  Anyway, it's being "reviewed" so I hope they pay for it.

I just moved on Friday to my new place and I finally have some of the weight off my shoulders and can relax a little bit.  I feel a lot better!  I can't wait for next week and all the days off for Thanksgiving.  I'm going to visit my parents and pick up my dog, he's been staying with them while I've been getting ready to move and moving so the landlord could show the apartment and just to make things a little easier on me.  I miss him a lot!

I hope everyone else's week has been good too! Thanks again, I love reading all of your posts, it gives me great insight on what life will be like after surgery.

Congrats on everything moving forward. I know that waiting for a decision can be the most frustrating thing. It took me about 2 years to get mine approved but it was well worth the frustrations.

Congrats on your new digs too. I'm sure your best bud can't wait to come home with you! The last time I was in the hospital, I talked with my dh Bill and my daughter Tiff at least one a day..usually 3-4 times, especially if they couldn't make it to see me that day. The one I really missed though was our dog Lotus. She couldn't come see me and couldn't 'talk' to me on the phone. lol. She wakes me up in the morning by licking my hand to let me know she needs to go out. It was so strange to wake up to a dry hand!

Welcome to the board!
