Hi All... I am a newbie here!  I am 30...female... from Indiana... Had Lap RNY on the 11th....
I am home from the hosp and struggling to get all of the vitamins and meds in... tomorrow I start on protein drinks... should be interesting.... I am still having a bit of pain... but also know I am not far out either....
Oh did I mention I think I feel better than I do... and want to do things?  I am driving myself crazy and I have really only been home about 2 days!
Anyway... I live in Carmel... Anyone close?

Hey there!!!  I live in Noblesville, so I am somewhat close to you..  I will be having my Lap RNY dec. 7th, I am soooo excited......  It's nice to see that you are up and moving and wanting to do things so fast after surgery...  It gives me hope that it won't be so bad..  Anyway, congrats and good luck, and if you ever want to talk just let me know.  You can never have too many friends...LOL

Unfortunately, I will be having my surgery at Methodist in Merrillville with Dr. Paul Stanish.  My insurance will only cover 1 hospital and 1 surgeon in Indiana, so thankfully they are in the same place....LOL  Don't get me wrong I really like my dr., I just would rather have my surgery someplace a little closer to home....Oh well, the main thing is, I am having it and that is all that matters.  Thank you for the link to your journal, it has really helped me to be able to read others experiences..

Welcome to both you newbies!  You are connecting to a great community that is the Indiana OH board.  Shanna is so right about getting involved and meeting the great folks on the board.  We always love meeting new people and having more friends.    Hope you both post often and great to have you here!!!!

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Thank you all so much.  I feel very welcome.  I actually really needed this.  I have been home from the hosp since Friday and cannot seem to get everything in... including my fluids... I know it is important... Tonight I am exhausted and have decided to make tomorrow a better day!  I head the first week out is heck... and it is proving to be that... then again... it is all a state of mind in the end.
