Help!
At this time tomorrow I will be hooked up to an IV and ready to go in for surgery at 8:30. I'm starting to worry a little, not about the surgery but whether I am prepared enough at my house. Do I have all of the vitamins on my list....Do I have enough protein shakes, mixes, etc. to try....
I just feel like I am forgetting everything and running out of time. Maybe this is my way of being nervous with the need to DO something.
Any suggestions about what to bring to the hospital?
Suggestions about where to find sampler packs of protein supplements?
Can I buy Vitamin D3 somewhere or do I need to order it?
What about B12? Do I set up the injection with my family doctor?
I'm sorry for the overload of questions, but I just feel like I have so many all of a sudden! I am so thankful for this group and all OH has done to help educate me/support me thus far.
Blessings for a great day and thank you so much.

First of all, take a deep breath. You will do great. I'm sure you have everything you need at your house, and if not, you have tons of OH friends who can help you out! I don't take Vitamin D3, so I'm not sure about that. As for your B12, I got my first dose in the hospital, so I was set for a month. After that, I did my own shots, or you can call your family dr to arrange to have it done there.
As for what to bring to the hospital, some easy slip on/off shoes (crocs, slippers, sandals) that you won't have to bend over to put on and off. Bring your tooth brush, own toothpaste (if you don't want to use the hospital's generic version), some chapstick/blistex (cause your lips will be super dry), and comfy clothes to wear home. I wore sweats and a tshirt to the hospital and wore the same thing home. Stayed in the hospital gowns while I was there though. I did bring a pair of undies, but never used them. Was more comfy on my tummy not to have them on. Hope this helps. You will do great and we are scooting over on the losers bench to make room!!
