Need some prayers from my OH family.. DH has head injuries.
Theres kind of a long story behind it but basically what it boils down to is DH has a severe concussion and had a CT done today and it was abnormal.
A lil back story, last Thursday he wa**** in the head by a hard hit softball that he was only like 10 ft away from so it hadn't slowed down at all when it got him. He went down and out for a couple seconds but came through confused, his teammates and the umpire both did all the "what year is it, whos the president, whats your name..etc" stuff on him and after the game and he got his barons together they let him drive home but followed him home. We left immediately to take him to the hospital. The doc gave him the option of a CT and he said no. He has complained of numbness and tingling, had some slurring and just not himself, getting confused easily, he was loading a truck at work on his forklift and totally went blank, forgot what he was doing and became very disoriented.
Saturday he wa**** in the head again by a plush duck but it has a hard battery pack and thats what got him. Immediately afterwards he started vomitting and slurred his speech for 10 mins or so afterwards. Since then he's been stumbling, slurring his speech, spacing out, gettin disoriented and a lot of other stuff that show that he really needed more medical attention. He refused to go back to the ER and told me just to call our PCP on Monday. I bugged him all weekend and he refused.
Fastforward to today. I call and the phone nurse says they have no appointments and to take him to urgent care, we get to urgent care and they tell us immediately get to the ER. Get to the ER and they take him back for a CT.
Okay so now I'm worried sick.. The CT was abnormal, and showed a lesion and cyst with calcification one his left caudrate head (which I think is in the brain). It is most likely from a previous injury or previous infection or something like that but not necessarily. We don't really know anything til a MRI is done what is going on. All we know is theres no fracture in his skull and no bleeding right now, which is good news but this other stuff is really worrisome. :(
So if you guys get the chance to say a prayer please do!

I just feel like an awful wife. All the times I had wished him away or thought bout divorce and just didn't think I could handle being with him anymore and then something like this happens, it scares me $#i+less and I realize that I really do love him and probably couldn't live without him. He is really a good guy but can be kind of a jerk some times but i know it's that way with all male species. I know that whatever is going on isn't fatal from what I've read on google but theres a lot of things that could have caused the lesion (microstroke and a few other possible serious things) and then theres minor things too. The cyst with calcification I'm not terribly worried about but I still am. I just hope everything comes out well.
Been married almost 36 years.. I have wished away... screamed at .. cused and kissed my best friend... His heart is now giving him fits I am scared shi48less will kill him someday soon... It is beatting out of control and because he is allergic to hepren some of the fixes they can't do...So I know where you are coming from... Dont beat yourself up... I am sure it cant all be sunshine and roses... marriage that is...
