Good morning everyone!

I just love Thursdays! Well..I love the day at 3:45 pm and have 3 days to call my own!

I have to start thinking about what I'm bringing to the clothing exchange. Yes..besides salsa I mean! LOL! I guess I'll get my recipe thinking cap on in the morning before I go shopping.

I hope everyone has a good day....and everyone who is having their surgery today....best wishes and please let us know that all went well!

Today is my "Friday" too.  I have so much to do this weekend.  I'm praying for the energy to get it all done.

Looking forward to the clothing exchange Saturday.  My trunk is full of clothes, shoes and purses.  I need to give my closet one more hard look before Saturday.

I'm bringing my friend, Suzan.  She is a post-op from Missouri.  She will be moving here next summer so I want her to see what a close, active group we are.  She has not had the best support system in MO.  I know I couldn't have done this without you all.

Well I have the weekend all to myself. (sort of) Terry and Bella are going home to Ohio. So its just me and the "gimp"lol.Sorry Ty!
Tommorrow and sunday I am off. So not to bad of a weekend.

I believe I am going to make something from the Pampered Chef cook bookI just recieved. (also a little goody yummy scrumptiosness.LOL)

I am SO addicted to Cafe World!  LOL  Wonder if there's a 12 step program....  

Hello everyone, I am a closet lurker and have decided I really need to stop.  I have completed my 6 months of nut/doc visits and everything was turned into my ins.  They said it could be a month before I find out anything.  Just love the waiting game.  So say a prayer that I will be accepted.  If so I am looking at having my surgery on Dec 14th.  In light of that, I really need to develop a good support group.  I was attending some meetings at the local hospital, but I think they are not happy with me since I decided not to use their surgeon, so now I am looking for some groups that I can attend.  Any suggestions would be appreciated. 

I cannot attend the clothing exchange because of school, but I would really love to meet some of you.  Do you ever get together at other times?   Thanks for all you do.

We get together as much as we can. lol! If you're going to be in Indy, drop a note on here and I'm sure some of us will be able to meet with you for lunch, dinner, coffee, or whatever. Some get together and go to Edinburg for shopping.

If you are going to be in other areas of the state, drop a note here too because I'm sure there will probably be people on here from there as well.

This has been the best support group for me. I had my surgery at St. V's Carmel and had attended their support groups for awhile. Their's is for St. V's patients only. I think Clarion's is open to everyone regardless of where you have your surgery. With me being 5 yr post-op, I don't go to any of them now...I find I get what I need from my buddies here. You would probably find it helpful to go to them in the beginning at least. I have no idea where Franklin is...are you anywhere close to Marion? Tracy is the OH support group leader there. You may want to check into going there if it isn't too far for you to drive to get there.
