Hump Day....
Good morning all....
LaChelle..you, Jimmy, and your family are in our thoughts and prayers this morning....
Well...today is the 21st so that means I am 6 training courses behind at work! Besides those, I have either 5 or 7 more that I have to take before I go on vancation Nov. 17th. I have been trying to get time to take them for almost 2 weeks. I've managed to get one in! Here's hoping I get the time to get more of them done today! Somehow, I know not to hold my breath.
Tiffany will be interviewing for the manager position for the store she's been at for ~a year. She's been more or less acting manager for quite awhile now. Once they learned Tiff could handle the store, they kept having her do it by herself so they could have the then manager (Jodi's sis Sarah) work at other stores. Sarah went to a different employer and Tiff got stuck with a really bad manager. This chic wouldn't even be sure the safe was locked before she went home for the night. Can we all say 'duh'?? Tiff covered her butt big time until this girl's mistakes got so big that her boss took notice. She got fired a week or so ago. Instead of just promoting Tiff to the position she's been doing anyway, she has to interview for it...along with anyone else inside..or outside the company. Since the only manager experience Tiff has is that which was done for them in an unofficial capacity, she's really nervous about this interview. So..say a little prayer for her this morning..ok? She and her family could really use a financial break like this. It's not like it'd make her financially well off or even 'comfortable' but at least they wouldn't struggle as much from paycheck to paycheck.

Whenever God Closes One Door He Always Opens Another, Even Though Sometimes It's Hell in the Hallway...
Hey everyone. It's been a rough few days in the Hess household. My oldest son was diagnosed with H1N1 on Monday. If you remember, we "thought" he had it 3 weeks ago and I was treated with Tamiflu. Come to find out, that test was not accurate because he definately has it now and now we are all sick. My OB started me on Tamiflu yesterday and I got the H1N1 vaccine, but I started having symptoms last night. My chest hurts really bad today and I'm anxiously waiting for 8:30 to call the dr office. My 2 year old is sick too, temp of 102, coughed all night long. But he is complaining of an ear ache too so I am going to take us both in to confirm what I already know (we have H1n1) and make sure Zach doesn't have an ear infection on top of it.
I'm totally bummed as my mom was coming down this weekend to watch the boys so that Gary and I could go away over night to celebrate our 11th anniversary on Saturday. That's all scrapped and I'm sad. We never get anything like that planned. Please pray that we all recovery quickly and that baby bean is safe and sound inside mommy's tummy. Everytime I cough, I get a sharp pain from the pulling and it's quite scary.
Needless to say, I won't expose you all to the flu by coming to the clothing exchange on Sat, which bums me out even more!
