I am so sorry to hear that. There is no non-serious surgery. Her family is in my prayers.

I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
Lisa,
Thank you for letting us know about Angie. I think we all kinda figure that once we have WLS and lose weight, surgeries aren't nearly the risk they were before. For some people, that is true. For others....you just don't know.
Don't beat yourself up over telling Angie that everything would be all right. You had no way of knowing if she would be one of the unfortunate ones to have problems. No more than anyone knew ahead of time that I would wind up with 2 clots and blocked intestines (and in a coma...and...and....and...). All any of us can do when we go into surgery is to have faith in the surgeon and have faith in God. That way, you're covered no matter the outcome.
I don't know why Angie died and I didn't. I don't know why other people...you, Annette, Gail, Dawn, and so many others had no significant problems after their plastics. Notice...I said 'significant'. After all I've gone through and continue to go through, I don't consider a small hernia as 'significant' and that seems to be the most serious issue that I've heard of other than mine (and now Angie's), You just do not know what the outcome will be. So...my advise to anyone who is having any kind of surgery will remain: First, be sure you have faith in your surgeon...but second and most importantly, have faith in God. And KNOW that problems do not just happen to the other guy. There is a reason they know the 'risks' of surgeries...it's because they do happen.
love you sweetie...

I just wanted to say a special prayer for Angie's husband and family in their time of loss. It is so hard for us to believe that she is gone, and that there are others left behind.....we never know why that happens, but we are the ones left to deal with the pain and hurt.
Angie touched so many hearts all across the boards and state lines. We will always have a special place in our heart for her memory.
God Bless you, Angie. You were such an inspiration to all of us!
