Okay I know from reading on here there is a typical 2 weeks stall after surgery.  I am 2 weeks and 4 days out and haven't lost in almost a week.  How long does this stall typically last?  Is there anything I should be doing in the meantime to make thinks move faster?

Thanks!

My two week stall lasted for three weeks.  Just keep doing what your surgeon and nut have told you to do and when your body catches up with itself your weight loss will pick back up.  In the mean time you should notice your clothes feeling a bit looser.  I think most of us have lost inches while not losing pounds.

I so dind't want to hear THREE weeks!   I am feeling frustrated because I am not losing, and since everyone in my life knows about the surgery, I feel like I am failing them, by not losing.

My clothes are getting bigger, and I am in desperate need of smaller things, but can't afford it right now, and keep hoping that more weight is going to fall off to justifu buying even smaller sizes...

sigh.....I guess I will try to be patient and hope I keep losing soon.....

A few members on this board have made me very uncomfortable at the idea of the clothing swaps and other group functions...

I have already hit Goodwill though...LOL  I got 4 great sweaters there the other day.  I am trying to hold out on pants....hubby is getting sick of seeing me pull them up all the time though...LOL

Honestly.. the clothing exchange is nice!!  Bring one of your friends from home to stay by your side the first time or pick one of your buddies here on line to meet up with as your first time buddy..I have hosted and been to several over the last 4 years..These ladies (and gentlemen) are really not scarey...

It is held in a church so normally, attitudes are left outside...IF there is an attitude problem....I promise it wont be noticeable!!

Go to your first one... if you dont like it you dont have to go back but please don't let fear of the unknown keep you from going and getting a blessing...

your body is still in the healing process so it is completely normal to have spurts where you dont lose. the best advise i can give you is "step away from the scales and give your body some time". best of luck.

I am in my 2 week stall too.  I have friends who are post-wls, and they just keep telling me to hang in there.  As long as you are following your surgeon and nut instructions, you will be fine.  believe me, I am impatient as well.  I didn't know about these clothing exchanges.  I live closer to Seymour/Scottsburg area.  Does anyone know of any going on around these areas?  I usually work weekends a lot, so getting to one further away could be an issue.
Stacy, hang in there.  Many of us are in the same boat.  Also, you are not failing anyone else--only worry about you.  While your friends, family, and coworkers see you, they are not going through this.  Only those who live in your house have an inkling of what's up, and all you have to tell them is that this is all normal!
a healthier me is on the way!

Yup 2 week stall here too! Trying to keep my butt off the scale and not worry about it. My clothes get bigger and bigger everyday so I guess something is going the way I want it too.
