TGIF!
Good morning all!
I woke up at 4 this morning. My body just doesn't know how to sleep in much on my days off! It's a good thing I did though. Bill has to go to the SS office today so the earlier there..less of a line to wait in.
I got a call from my doc's nurse yesterday. My vitamin D came back low. It's suppose to be more than 40 and it was 23. So..I'll be doubling up on that puppy! Only 2 of my lab results are in so far and I had them drawn a month ago. It wouldn't be the first time that the blood draw place (inside of Community East) had lost my tubes. Grrrr.... Oh..and the call came from my PCP's nurse, NOT Dr. Cacucci's nurse (and Dr. Cacucci is the one who ordered the tests for my 5 yr check). I'm so lucky to have such a terrific PCP & she is so lucky (as is her partners & patients) that she has such wonderful staff working there. I WISH the staff at these WLS places were half as courteous and caring!
On top of work this week, Bill had an eye appointment, I had to see the company doctor (on a weight restriction because of the hernia's), and I got my flu shot at employee health (and my arm STILL hurts from that).
I hope you all have a good day today!

Hi all! It's Friday!!! I'm a happy camper. It's been a long week. I'm ready to relax tonight. I was totally disgusted with myself yesterday. I had gained 30 pounds this year. I weighed in at 175, and when I plugged that in to fitday.com, it showed my BMI at 30.04. Obese. I'm not going back. I got back on board with things. It seemed like a good day to do so. A new day, a new month. I can do this.
I just wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes and payers for matt and us.
He is very lucky man to be alive. He had 100% blockage that too two stents to open and they had him on the heart balloon for two days while his heart healed. They took him off of it yesterday afternoon. Sometime around 9:30 last night he called me at home to say he got to sit up in a chair. Hopefully he'll get to walk around today and come home Sunday.
He still has orders for no work or Special Olympics for at least 3 months and then has to pass a stress test in order to go back.
I'm so lucky and have praised our Lord Almighty a million times with a heartfull of thanks for not taking Matt away from us.
Blessings

Jodi,
I didn't see that all before. I'm sorry you two are having such a rough health time. I don't mean to sound like the martyr or anything, but just keep in mind when it's hard that atleast you still have hope to hold onto, because for you all it has the potential to get better and work out. I am praying that it will for you and your family.
