No Excuse for Abuse 5k Walk/Run
The 5k No Excuse for Abuse Run/Walk will be Nov.7th at 8:30am. It starts and finishes at the Batesville Police Dept. Pre-registration by Oct.25 is $10 and race day registration is $10.

This walk benefit's Safe Passage. Safe Passage is a domestic violence shelter based here in Batesville, that serves Franklin, Ripley, Dearborn, Ohio, and Switzerland counties. You can see their site here: http://safepassageinc.org/
Even if you are a slow walker, like myself, I would like to encourage anybody who can, to participate. Safe Passage has saved many women (and their children) from abusive relationships in my area. I will certainly be there, and I hope to meet at least a few of you there.
