well...
it's officially been 10 days since my RNY and as of tuesday (my 8 day mark) i had lost 12.5 lbs...
NOW....tuesday was the day i went back for my ck up following surgery, this is per the surgeon's scales....according to mine...i have been the same weight for FIVE days....yeah!!! FIVE long friggN days!!!!
i know i have seen these "WTF" postings, but WTF???????????????
i haven't lost a thing in FIVE days....of course im having the same questions as i have seen ppl on here before.....is this it???? am i the ONLY person in the world to fail less than 2 weeks following wls???
i am sooooo frustrated!!!! is my body just happy where it's at for the time being and acting like a stubborn asshole???
i have been eating salsa (not on my list)....could that be the culprit????  have i pissed off the universe??? do i need to be moving more??? WHAT??? WHAT??? WHAT DO I DO???
aggraviated and having "buyer's remorse" SEVERELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful with the salsa.  The acid is bad right now for your pouch.  The last thing that you want to do is give yourself an ulcer.  Stick to the foods that's on the sheets that they give you in the nutritional counseling class.  The only salsa that you should be doing is the dance....might even be too early for that! LOL

As for the weight loss stall.....it's going to happen.  Accept it, work through it, and move on.  You'll be losing more soon.  Keep sipping the liquids, yes especially get your protein in.  Keep moving and keep your chin up.  Soon you'll be reaping the rewards of all your hard work.  The first month post-op was the roughest for me and my wife so far.  It does and will get better.  Just know that everyone stalls, it's very common. It's just your bodies way of dealing with the change.  I think of it like this;  it's a stall-not a stop.

Pammy Pammy Pammy............ugh!   Listen Chicky these things happen, especially in the first months after surgery.  Did you not pay attention as every newbie post the same dilemma you are experiencing?  Damn near every one of us has suffered the same dreaded "2 week" stall.  Mine started at week number two and last for three weeks.  I expected it, I knew it was coming, I still found it hard to accept.  Trust the process, it works!!  If you will begin now to journal your weight loss you will see a pattern that is unique to only you, it will help you accept the stalls.

Do yourself a huge favor and ditch the scales.  I put mine up for the first six months and only weighed at my surgeon visits.  You are undoubtedly experiencing the toughest part of this journey, so much to learn, stalls, nutrition and protein issues...yep it sucks.  Each and every ounce you lose along the way adds up to become huge numbers and after a few months it becomes very encouraging, right now ..not so much.  Please try to relax and enjoy your journey, its a bumpy ride for sure.

Yep the two week out stall is a PITA. It seemed like I would have one stall a month there for awhile. Just keep doing everything right and it will show sooner or later! Also, let me say "WELCOME ABOARD". I haven't talked to you since you had your surgery. I'm so glad you are here with us going through this now. You have worked and suffered so hard for this. Just let it happen girl. I'm the one that needs the intervention now because I am slacking and its getting scary because I am able to eat more than I should. Well, this is about you and I am so proud of you. You are a true trooper girl.
Take care
Be Well  : )

I stalled at day 10 too.  It took me about 10 days to start losing.  Meanwhile, I drove myself crazy every day weighing like 10 times a day...seriously.  The weight will come off.  At day 10 I had lost 19 pounds and it will be 6 weeks on Monday and as of today I've lost 35.  You are doing great!
