Orange Tongue?!!

I have a friend who had the RNY last year.  Her tongue is completely orange and has been for about a month now.  Don't know why.... do any of you have experience with it?

But i didnt have that ,is it something she is eating ?

Only when I eat Cheetos.  Then I get orange fingers too.

Sounds like a vitamin and/or mineral imbalance.  Does she drink V-8 or anything with a lot of carrot juice in it?  It can cause your skin to take on an orange tint if you over-indulge.

Nope not anything she is eating.  St. V's wont test her for anything else since she has no insurance now.  It's been a battle for her.  Dr. Huse says it could be an intestional infection but wont see her without 2000 bucks paid on her bill.  it's kinda sad really.

The local docs say it is something to do with her gastro track but have no records of it here.

She is really upset about it.  Poor girl.

 

Does your friend have any other symptoms besides and orange tongue? Diabetes?  Rash? I am sorry to hear that your friend is in this situation.
