My WOW moment happened this morning

My husband, Duane and I went shopping this morning to Khol's.
He picked out several shirts in a 2XL but we now think they actually need to just be an extra large.

Then we proceed over to the women's dept.  I had gotten into (and bought 2 pairs of Levi's size 12 a couple of months ago).  People keept saying Levi's runs small, so if you are wearing a 12 --you can probably wear a 10 in other pants.  The mental part of me was saying, there is no way, YOU in a 10???  Well, I found a pair of 10 in cords and I also took in a 12 - to be on the safe side.  Duane was waiting outside the door.  I put the 10 on, and zip (NO sucking in).  Duane said he could hear the "zip" from outside.  I came out almost in tears.  NEVER in my adult life, have I got into a size 10.  A HUGE emotional high for me.

Another --wow moment should be around the corner.  I am 9 lbs away from 100lbs.

Duane and I both have our (close to 6 month) appointments tomorrow with Dr. Inman.  I think she should be happy with our progres.....I KNOW we are.

Have a good week everyone!!

You two are doing great!  I'm farther out than you, and I haven't lost as many sizes - I got into size 14 Gloria Vanderbilt jeans and was ecstatic.  Can't wait till I can get in a size 10!

You guys rock!

Christie,
Thanks for the kind words.  You know what's interesting about this whole process is that EVERYONE is different.  One could lose more weight and not sizes, or more inches or whatever.  You will get there.  I have no idea where I will end up.  I never thought, I'd get into a 14, then a 12.  When I got under 200lb that was huge.  I'm not sure I was under that when I met Duane 13 years ago.  I am smaller now than when I was in high school.  I feel SO much better, we are healthier, I feel good.  That's what is important.
BTW ---Duane and I are training for our first 1/2 marathon in Indy in November.

***Sidenote:  I had NO idea that we are STUCK with our work ID's for 5 years!!!!!! That stinks

Yep!  Even if we "lose" them, the replacement will have the same picture - trust me, I asked!  LOL  I didn't want to be stuck with the fat pic for 5 years.... ugh.

Good luck with the marathon training!

Alisica,

Congrats on the shopping trip !!!!  I know first hand the mind can still tell us we can't until we prove that yes we can and show that mind of ours who's boss now.  Congrats again and keep up the great job.  You two make a great team and I'm sure there's no goal you cannot achieve w/ the support of each other.  Let me know how the marathon goes and take care !!!!

I replied to Duane too, but...it was really good to meet you both on Friday. You're both an inspiration and your strength as a couple really shows.

Keep up the good work!
