I'm soo anxious and stressed out. I'm nervous to the point I'm wanting to cancel the appointment for the second time. I NEED to go as last time I talked to the office Marta told me they were concerned about me (because of the emotional issues and bulimia stuff). I know my weight gain is med related, I've been on tons of steroids and also a whole variety of different psych meds over the past few months. So I've gained about 7 lbs since my 18 month appointment. Are they going to chastize me or make me feel bad?? :( Is it even worth going to my appointment? I'm soo scared. I'm in the process of getting into an inpatient eating disorder clinic theres just a lot of paperwork and stuff to deal with and then financial stuff too. I don't want them to be angry that I haven't gotten that taken care of either. I've neglected everything terribly and I deserve a good lecture to be honest. I've neglected taking my vitamins regularly, I've neglected eating period and when I do I make myself sick, I've been neglecting my protein drinks and everything. Last time I was in the hospital they threatened to tube feed me because I'm not eating hardly. You'd figure I'd be losing weight but I can only guess the meds I'm on are interferring with that.

Misty you really need to keep your appointment.  Think back to the time when you went to your orientation, if your orientation was like mine you were told that some weight regain would be normal.  So congrats Misty....You Are Normal.

Please take care of yourself and do the things you know are right.  Peace and Love to you.

i wouldnt worry too much about a little weight gain. not only is it "normal" but most drs expect it with long term steroid therapy. ther reason you are not losing weight with the way you are eating is because your body thinks it is starving( and from the sound of it, it is). get yourself some help and get better. (((((hugs)))))

You won't get yelled at for the regain, so PLEASE don't cancel your appointment!!! It sounds like you really do need to get in there and discuss the other issues...neglecting your meds, vitamins, protein, etc...those are all HUGE issues that need addressed!!! 7 lbs regain isn't bad at all, I've heard as much as a 10% regain is to be expected.

Sending hugs your way!!

Thanks y'all! my appointment is monday. I'm still really anxious. I just started to get forgetful and careless with everything a couple months ago as far as the vitamins and protein so I'm sure I can get back on track and am working on that now but I still screwed up.
