Sunday...

Wow...is it Sunday already??? The time off this weekend has flown by! We had a good time though and my stomach cooperated. Well..enough so anyway. I ended up sitting most of the time with my elbows resting on my knees. I'm sure people thought it was a back thing. It made my tummy better to deal with. We ate at the big tent instead of the usual track food fare. We should had stuck with the track food. I ate wisely for what they had there but the apple I had? It's fiber hit me almost immediate so I ended up having to go potty several times. I didn't think to being my anti-spasm pills with me and my intestines let me know that too. Anyway, I made it through the whole thing. Usually, they start the 3 hour race ~7. last night, it was scheduled to start at 8:15. It started at 8:45! They had to have a couple of red flags so...that put the race getting done at 12:15!! Remember, this gal is usually in bed by 8! Considering the crowd & how far we had to park from te gates, we made good time in getting out of there. We were home by 1am. I 'slept in' till 8.

All of the main drivers that we would have liked to have seen win was knocked out of the race. There's a family of racers there...the Tunny's. They had 5 in the race last night (Bruce & Bill are brothers and Bill's 3 sons...Bruce has at least one son that races too but not in that class). It was only natural that one of those 5 did win...son Ben. The other 4 though were even knocked out of the race. We were impressed with one stock driver in it, David Lee Byrd....that stayed in it for the duration. Sure...being a stock instead of a late model, he was several laps behind the leader but at least he hung in there. So..for Dawn, Donna, and any of the other Figure 8 fans out there...the winner of the 33rd 3 hour was Ben Tunny. Several wrecks (of course). Only one injury (Basham..what a name!) but he walked off the track on his own accord. No redneck fighting. Great sportsmanship was shown by Jack Dossey Jr when Bruce Tunny got in a wreck and Jack (who was not involved in the wreck) stopped to see if he was ok and tried to help Bruce get his car going again. It cost Jack a few laps, but gained him the admiration of most of the track fans. Unfortunately, about 50 laps later, Jack's right side of his car was demolished and he too had to leave the race. Even so, Bill had a terrific birthday. I even fixed his favoite meal yesterday for lunch...perogies.

If you all like to watch small track races, check out Speedrome sometimes. They are online so you can check their schedule of events (www.speedrome.com) . The figure 8's and the roadrunner class are the two most exciting races in my book. The hornets are a firm 3rd.

Other than the races, I also had my hair cut (Friday) and re-dyed it (yesterday). I'll be returning to work tomorrow a new woman. LOL! Today, I need to run to Walgreens but other than that, no plans. Guess I'll be lazy all day. Sounds good but I doubt I do that. lol.

I hope you all have a good day today!

I posted stuff on yesterdays when I was writting. Ohh well.

We are going to go look at a car Grand Am for Tyler Today. We found it on Craigslist. It looks to be really nice. We got our car situation from lat month taken care of and it problably was a good deal for us anyway. So now we are looking for a car for Tyler. It it Black Grand Am Gt w/ leather interior and a sunroof. Looks like a good deal but Terry is going give it a good look. A few things terry will need to fix but not to be a big deal. The guy that owns it knows nothing about cars. So he didn't want to put in  the time or money. $$$

Hope evryone has a good day...
