UPDATE on my misery
I was still feeling quite miserable yesterday after work so I stopped at Walgreens on the way home to purchase an enima and see if I still had pain after trying that. I did have a BM after the enima and still had pain so I called both my surgeon and PCP and the decision was unanimous for me to go to the ER.
At the ER they took blood and urnine to check for an infection..both neg. Then came the CAT scan, it showed lots of stool but other than that it checked out fine. SOOOOOO the hospital administered an enima with no results...then another enima with no results. Next comes a pelvic exam..it comes up ok. After such a fun filled evening St Francis has almost guaranteed that I will not be returning there anytime soon, at least not in a concious state lol. I was released with pain meds and advised to follow up with my doc as the hospital said they had ruled out any major stuff.
I guess the verdict is thus far.... I am full of **** and all indications are that I am likely to stay that way for now. I am still in a boat load of pain, but I am heading to work this morning because standing and moving seem to help a lil bit.
I am off the next two days ..finally a weekend off!!!! However I intend to try every laxitive remedy mentioned on the boards until I get some relief. I am sorry this is so much grossness but greatful to have people who understand me.

Have you tried the herbal decaf tea that I mentioned before in one of Melissa's potty problem posts? At Meijer's, it's called Smooth Move. At Walmart, it's called Dieter's Tea. With either one, fix you a cup of hot tea before you go to bed (I add a packet of sweet & low to it). The next morning, you should be able to get much relief. Before all of my intestinal isues started, this tea was the only thing that would work as a laxitive for me.
About 6 months ago or so, my son's gf fell in the bathtub when taking a shower. She was under the showerhead when she fell straight down..on top of the tub faucet. The thing you pull up to get the water to go up to the shower head ended up splitting her backside open pretty good. Any kind of pressure from a bowel movement at all would cause the injury to get worse. She tried one a cup of the Smooth Move tea...and didn't have to worry about the stitches getting ripped out. She was already embarrassed enough for having to get the stitches there to begin with.
Seriously, I would recommend this tea to anyone...and everyone. Even if you don't like hot tea, try a cup of this. No, the taste isn't yummalicious, but it is worth drinking it in order to not be in pain.

I'm thinking you didn't use St. V's - are you allowed to eat nuts on your plan? I eat raw nuts - no salt, not roasted everyday about a handful and because it has the "good" fat in it I go on a regular basis. I find them at trader joes or jungle jims... DON'T type in raw nuts into a search engine on your computer!!! You'll get more than you bargain for!
Huggs.... really hard belly squishing to help you with a BM!

My mom was on chemo and they gave her tylenol 3 for her mild pain and she got bound up and they would give her miralox and she called it her dynamite in a small dose.lol
