I can't remember all the details like that anymore. It is all a blur.......
But my testing only took 2 hours, too. But I think St. V's is an allday affair.

Stacy,
Congrats on getting your pre op testing done! Time will go by fast, beleive me. My surgery is this Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. I am ready, but I am also so scared now. Before I was like hurry up and get me scheduled already and now I kind of feel like WAIT, um this is happening to me when? My last solid food for a while will be on Saturday because I start my clear liquids starting Sunday. I got all of my meds for post op filled, vitamins in a backet ready, and plenty of full liquids for the first week. I've got a recliner to sleep on and my bag is already packed.

I'm sorry I don't mena to sound like I am taking over your post, but I do have a question for the post ops with Dr. Mattar. Do you remember what recovery in the hospital was like? Pain wise? Comfort wise? I know to expect discomfort and some pain because it is surgery, but I am just wondering if I'm going to be waking up screaming in pain. I think I have a pretty good pain tolerance but this is my first major surgery. Thanks!

I didn't have Dr. Mattar - I was at St. V's with Dr. Evanson.  However, if this is any indication, I had a party in my hospital room the same night, with a bunch of folks from here.

Dr. Evanson also said I was telling jokes in the recovery room - now that I don't remember!  LOL

I wasn't in much pain at all - I was too jazzed about finally getting to the loser's bench!

I am so excited for you Teresa.  Please keep in touch and let me know how you are doing.  If you need anything, keep in mind I am somewhat local to you!  I will be thinking about you!

As far as the "this is happening when?" feeling, I had that when I left the hospital testing yesterday.  I had this big reality check....I am sure it will get worse as the day gets closer!
