PreSurgery Testing Today

I had my pre-surgery testing today at Clarian North :)  Now I am waiting for the call from Mattar's office with a time for my class and surgery dates.  Those of you that have used Mattar, how long did it take after the testing to get that call?  Should I follow up with Nancy if I don't hear from the in a certain number of days?  Should I go ahead and call Thomasina to saet up my class?

Can you tell I am a bit anxious?!?!

They have to wait to get all of the results in from your preop testing before they can schedule you for surgery just in case there is anything that needs fixin, kwim?  I was told it would be approx a week to 10 days to get my dates and it was about 8 days before I was scheduled.  So I would give it a week from Monday til you call them.  Your class is scheduled 2 weeks before surgery so they can't give you a class date til they know your surgery date as they don't want you to take the class too far before surgery so you don't forget stuff. Hope this helps.

I only had to have a couple of presurgery tests and was told by the hsopitalist that my results were probably on Mattar's desk by 3pm yesterday.  My pre-surgery stuff only took about 2 1/2 hours, instead of all day like I hear for most people.

     It is funny how the Dr's work so differently. My date was scheduled about a month ago and I just had my nutrition class a week ago and I go Monday for my testing. Only two weeks til my surgery. Hopefully you will get your date soon. Good luck.

Stacy, I didn't have very much by way of testing either other than the normal...ekg, pulmonary function, blood work, urine, chest xray.  I was in and out in 2 hrs.  I know that Nancy (Dr. Mattar's secretary who does his surgey schedule is out of office til Monday, so you won't get scheduled til at least then),  but early congrats!

I couldn't resist calling today and found out that Nancy is out until Monday.  The girl I spoke with in the office left a message for her, so hopefully I will know something soon :)

I am getting so excited!
