TGIF...For EVERYONE's Friday!! LOL!
I am SO glad to be off of work today! True, I have two doctor appointments this morning but it's all good, right? I have my follow-up for my tummy. Dr. Cacucci is taking over my case since Dr. Gupta is gone. She was the best choice since she's the one who had discovered my intestine deal. It should be interesting to see if she believes this softball on my stomach is a hernia or just the abdominal wall being weak. I'm not going to wear my binder so it will behave for her the way it does for me. I hope it does anyway. Two hours later, I have my GYN anual. That one is no big deal. I don't think it'll hold any surprises anyway.
This evening, Kathy, Bill, and I are going to meet Chris and Wally in Spencer to try to be there for Terry some. If anyone else would like to join us, please let me know. We have room in our vehicle for one more. If more than one more wants to go, we do have a back-up plan in mind. Kathy is going to drive down to our house & us leave ~4-4:30 so we'll get there about the same time as Chris. Since Wally is from down there, he could probably suggest a good place for dinner before we head back toward Indy.
So..a full day. It's ok though. I like my day to be busy.
I hope you all have a good day today. And Terry...hang in there today sweetie. We're bringing lots of love and hugs to you tonight. Tracy and Peggy will be bringing you a second dose in the morning.

I just found out last night we will have a full loosers bench around here as my son Scott has decided to sit with Melissa and I... As with Melissa....I did not try to push surgery or try to go against surgery.. In fact I didnt discuss it.. I wanted it to be totally HIS decision... I told him last night what ever his decision would be I would support him 100%... We all know it isnt the easy way... it is just another way...I think he will be fine because he is a great researcher and a good fighter.. and he has seen Melissa and I go thru this and has been a good support for us.
Linda Kay
That's awesome Linda. Recently my mother inlaw approached me saying she had talked to her PCP about having the band. One of the ladies I hang with in Special Olympics emailed me that she was interested in St V's program for the bypass and her daughter was interested in the band. And just this past winter/spring another lady from our SO group had surgery. It spreads.. LOL. I wish a few of my family members would consider it, but like you, I don't push the subject. But when asked I share as much infor and support as I can. I have a dear friend who's 15 yr old daughter is nearly 300 lbs. I've been working with her this past week on measuring food, reading food labels, and sneaking exercise in. Next Wednesday I get to show the two of them how to grocery shop for quick healthy meals. Enough of me, plz excause me hijacking you thread .......................... that's awesome about your son though. What a great support system you all will have. And a plan to establish good healthy eating for those little ones to grow up on.
Blessings
