UPDATE: Home from the doc

Great News!!!  My son's heart is normal!!!  There is still a murmer there but since there is normal function, the doc is assuming it is there because he is sick and will probably go away as he recovers. 

They gave him a new antibiotic and a new cough med, so that is six perscriptions and three visits to the doc this week.  If there is no improvement by tomorrow I am suppose to call them again. 

We are exhausted from all the coughing and worrying so I am heading to bed.  The new cough is a narcotic so if nothing else maybe it will knock him out so he can get some rest. 

I appreciate each of you beyond what words can ever say.

That's great news sweetie. Maybe he can get some rest now and relief from that horrible cough. I know it just wears you out when you cough so much from being sick. I bet his poor chest and ribs are hurting from all that muscle movement. I hope you are getting some rest yourself sweetheart and that now you have good news you can relax.
It's so hard when we worry like you have been but they say that if we didn't have the bad things to worry about, how would we ever learn to appreciate the good.
Take care and keep us all informed about how he is doing tomorrow.

I know you are relieved! they said already this school year the Martinsville Schools full of the cold/cough etc crap. My niece sub teaches in one of the schools, and said absences up already!
