Good morning all!

Today should be fairly busy at work so I thought I better post before I leave home. Besides, I never know if/when OH is working ok at work.

Chris...good luck with your presentation today! I'll be thinking about you & Wally. I know how hard it is that first day back to work after being off longer than your usual 'weekend' days.

Gail..my heart is with you and the girls today as you say goodbye to your friend Phil. After knowing him for almost 26 years, that friendship is going to be well missed by each of you...but now he isn't in anymore pain and is watchng over you, Becky, and Michelle from his place in Heaven.

Ellen..I hope the news with the endo is an ulcer. Easier to take care of usually than a hernia. I think it's wonderful that you and Dana are walking in memory of Nick. I will be pledging...and I'm going to check to see if Lilly's will match my pledge. They usually do. I'll let you know. I just have to find a few minutes at work to do it but should be able to this morning.

I hope you all have a good day today. I haven't written my young friend back in Ghana yet. Mainly because of lack of time..but also because I've been praying about what to say and how to say it (since his English is very good, but still gets some things confused). I appreciate you all keeping me and my friendship with Ibrahim & his grandmother in your prayers.

Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning all! Sherri, sure hope you have a good day at work. I've worked all night and my bed is calling my name! I'm so tired these days I could sleep 24/7. Dr. appt is coming up quickly, Thursday morning, and I can't wait. I need to know that all is well with the little bean I'm growing.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday.

Sherri.... Thank you, the package arrived safely and was appreciated.

I decided to get back into my weight lifting with my trainer. She fit me in last night. Oh, it felt so good. She said I'm gonna feel it, since it's been awhile. I laughed and said good, that's what I'm paying for!

My appointment w/Dr Bergman went great. Thanks so much Sherri for recommending her. She said she'd note your records so you'd get a tad discount on the girls. I did get so nervous in the first 5 mins of our convo that I asked to be excused to go puke and pass gas. Damn anxiety and IBS really likes to embrasses me sometimes, I swear. But I got thru it. She gave me some kinda bad news - she said she would NOT under any cir****tances do a total tummy tuck because I've had radiation to my pelvic area. She's worried that even at a year out - the radiation will cause my scar to heal extremly slower then normal and so a full tummy tuck would take away to much necessary blood flow and put on to much tension. She doesn't want to risk opening the scar at any time from the tension and lower healing time. But - here's the fun part - when I enlarged (was fat) my belly button NEVER pulled away from my muscle wall and so it cuts my excess skin in half naturally. If she does a TRADITIONAL panni removal my belly button would get moved to an inch above my pubic mound center Soooo - what she's gonna do is cut my belly button complete off the current tension of my belly and let the upper area (that's usually removed for the full tummy tuck) naturally flow to that panni area as much as it can and then remove everything from there. Reather or not she reinserts the belly button depends on the amount of tension when she closes. So I won't know, nor she, till she gets in there for surgery. But she'll do as close as she can to a tummy tuck while staying in the panni area that my insurance co will ONLY pay for.

She was soooo awesome. And she had nothing but the greatest things to say about you Sherri and Ms. Gail.

She won't schedule surgery until I get some paper work from the new specialists I'm seeing and find a new oncologist (mine went to a new practice in Florida) to get a medical clearance from him/her.

But I'm really excited about all the new things coming my way. And actually, I'm really looking forward to paying forward my goodness on to someone else when the time comes.

Stuck in bed today because my ruputured disc is causing me a lot of discomfort today. Quinn got his sippy cup and a bag of animal crackers and is camped out at the end of my bed, LOL. He's 2nd b-day is soon....

Love Bless You All..... (& a little extra for Linda V and Ms Gail & Family)

Jodi,

I'm glad your appointment went well with Dr. Bergman. I really think you can't go wrong with her. She is so caring about her patients and will do her best to be sure you get as good of results as possible without putting you in danger physically. She doesn't look at the bottom $ and I really like that about her. She doesn't care if she'd make more $ with a full abdo....if your health could be put at odds, she'll refuse to do it. That's the type of physicians we should all hope to find for all areas of our care. First, do no harm. Hmmm...where have I heard that motto at before???

I take it that you went by yourself....? Now, aren't you so glad that you did if for no other reason than to know  YOU DID IT!! Woo-hoo!!

I'm glad that the pain management folks have a game plan in mind. I hope that it all works successfully, fully, and quickly!

Yep, went by myself. Had to take 2 1mg Ativan though, but I got there by myself. Very proud of myself.

You're right about the bottom $ not being a motive to Dr Bergman. To tell me she'll give as close to a full tummy tuck and only take the pay for the panni removal from my insurance was... well... I hugged her and cried. She said I really had a unique situtation where it really was medically necessary for the upper half of my tummy (thanks to my unmovable belly button) to be moved or removed otherwise my rashes and yeast infection wouldn't stop with just my panni removal. I'm so glad she thought it out and came up with a wise and doable game plan for me.

She said her office will fight with the insurance to get everything done and paid for long after the surgery is over..... so seriously everyone..... head to Dr Bergman.
