It's been a while
Hello OH friends. I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought I should to let you know that my friend Belinda is finally doing well. She really had a rough time the first 3 months after RNY. Now she is 4 months out and has lost about 80~90 lbs. I can really see a difference. She is looking great. My friend Jennifer who had RNY several weeks ago is doing very well. I'm 2 weeks away from my first RNY anniversary. I've lost 113 lbs., and have 40 lbs. yet to lose to reach my goal.
I must admit I struggled a bit a couple of months ago. I started "testing the waters" with bad carbs by having a little bite of this here and a small piece of that there. Before I knew it the carb cycle was in full swing. I thank God for OH. This is where I first heard of the 5 day pouch test. I tried it and it worked. I'm now back on track. Over the couple of months of being out of control I gained 4 lbs., but now I have lost that 4 plus 3 more. I wanted to share this experience with all of you because there may be someone else out there that is struggling with the same issue. Before my RNY when I was out of control I felt hopeless to break the cycle. But now, I have learned some things about my body and food that has empowered me. Now I am not hopeless when I slip up because I know that I'm human and will slip from time to time, but I can and will get back on track because I know how to do it.
