in the past week i have began to have back pains hurting down in lower part and sitting like on a bleacher hurts to sit for awhile. This morning i noticed i touch or gently push in on where new pouch is, hurts. Could this be a formation of an ulcer? etc. I am getting food in and not having backingup etc. anyone else have this?

I would definately contact your surgeons office for any new pains. I have seen people on here describe their ulcer pains differently from one person to the next. I've also seen hernias and perforations described differently. Your surgeon will probably want to schedule you for an endoscopy to rule out an ulcer. With you being so newly post-op though, he may suspect that you are perhaps pushing it too quick physically and ask you to slow down just a little. Give his office a call and see what he thinks might be up..

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Thats what my wife said to me too....i have been pushing it too fast and im not nausea or sick or ill feeling or feverish. But i was thinking sitting there Friday night at Football game that maybe since the weight loss i always leaned forward alot and rested on the belly fat. well with the belly now down and going, i have to strengthen the back. Food is going down and nothing hurts when i swallow. thanks for advise as i will give em call

I had surgery in Aug 08 and I noticed the first time I mowed my yard this summer my "pouch" did NOT like the vibration from the pushmower either.   I used to rest the mower against my belly... it was pretty much gone by that point so I've had to learn how to mow using my arms... who'd have thought?

Glad to hear it wasn't anything serious!

i slept real good last night so it could have been whatever moved on. Course resting on the belly in the past has now made my back having to stand on its own.lol

Alaskaman:  I notice Dr. Evanson was your surgeon.  .. how long from time you got your approval until the time of surgery.  I can't get the girl to call me back that does the scheduling...frustrating

I ALMOST replied yesterday to you as i had the same problem. It was probably a couple of weeks or so before i heard from them on the date. They havent forgotten you im sure, but i would if nothing still after Labor Day call them. They are good to work with there. Good Luck as i have been satisfied with them so far.
